Nikita Arora’s roommate ordered a JBL speaker worth Rs.7000 from Amazon in the festive season sale as her Diwali gift. Nikita received the product and what she got inside the box was shocking, as it contained Diwali diyas and laddoos (sweets) instead of the premium JBL Speaker that her roommate had ordered.

She shared her experience with Amazon with anger on Twitter and wrote “My new @JBLaudio Flip4 from @amazonIN samajh nahi aa raha hai ki pehle laddoo khaaun ya diya me aag laga du“.

In a reply to her tweet, Amazon said that they are sorry for the unpleasant experience and would look into the matter. Sorry for the unpleasant experience with your recent order. Certainly not the kind of experience we intend to cater. We’d like to have this checked for you. Kindly report this to our support team here: https://amzn.to/2Lamw4J and we’ll assist you accordingly , Amazon’s tweet.

How to be on the safer side?

  • You should check the product inside the box at the time of delivery, in front of the delivery boy. Don’t ever let him go away.
  • If you haven’t checked the product at the time of delivery then you can record a video while opening the box to be at a safer side and further claims.

Many instances have been there like this, so we suggest our readers to consider the points so that they can claim further in their favour.
